Ardis E. Shuman May 11, 1938 - July 10, 2024 SULLIVAN - Ardis E. Shuman, 86, of Sullivan, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, Mattoon. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 13, 2024, in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with Pastor Mike Fender officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the Illinois Retired Teachers Association or to the United Women in Faith at the Sullivan First United Methodist Church. Ardis graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. She taught Home Economics in Arthur and then taught fifth grade at Sullivan.
